Max. participants: 22
Each participant get a saddlebag with enough space for food, camera, rain clothes and so on. The rest of the baggage is going to be transported by car from place to place.
Meeting at 6 p.m. at Bygdin Fjellhotell with dinner, instructions of the trail and assignment of horses to riders.
Start at 09.30 a.m. with tacking-up the horses. The trail mainly follows mountainous areas and takes us up to the top of Bitihorn at 1608 m. We finish the day with a gallop over the sandy beach of the Bygdin lake. This galloping opportunity is possible at the beginning of the summer season, due to the water level rising in the later summer months. Our destination for this day is the Bygdin mountain hotel. After dinner we meet for a chat in front of the fire.
Tuesday – day stage: about 30 km
On the second day we cross over Valdresflya up to nearlly 1400 m above sea level. We have a lovely view of Besshø, Leirungsdalen and Rasletind. In addition, we get a great profile view of the famous Besseggen.
We take a break at Heimdalsmunnen, then continue along to our destination of the day at Bessheim. In the evening, guests are invited to attend a lecture about horses.

The riders meet again at Buhø for lunch.
After lunch, the whole group rides back to Haugseter.

The last part of the trail leads us back to Beitostølen, reaching back at our original starting point in the afternoon. We finish the trip with dinner at “Jotnetunet”.
